Games Open 12.3   Excellent efforts by all who have taken on Games Open WOD 12.3 so far. Today will offer a final chance for everyone to get, or improve on, their score. Even if you are not taking part, come down to the box and show your support for your fellow athletes. This week we will have Olympic Lifting on Tuesday at 20.00 - a great opportunity to refine your technique and one of few remaining chances for the competitors to work with Ray and Haris before the Scottish Open on the 31st of March. Last chance for submitting an entry form is the 17th of March - No Exceptions. Wednesday evening will see another mobility WOD with Jonny Kilpatrick from Physio Effect. After several weeks of the Games WODs you will undoubtedly have developed some tension and possibly even some embryonic niggles - get yourselves along and improve your range of motion before 12.4. Thursday will herald the penultimate WOD of the Open Games: 12.4. Our guess is on short and technical or super heavy but as always it is unknown and unknowable. CFG remain a contender for the top 20 boxes in Europe and that trip to Copenhagen looms ever nearer. Come down and do your bit. The attendance, effort and atmosphere has so far been incredible, make sure you are a part of it. Conditioning for Parkour will run again on Thursday evening - loads of dynamic energy efficient movement patterns developed under the watchful eyes [...]

Once again there were some great scores and a fantastic atmosphere in the box for the Open WOD. It was fantastic to see so many people come down to support the box and their fellow athletes. The WOD will be available for judging again over the next few days for those who have yet to attempt it and for those who wish to try again. However, the Girls WOD should go ahead again this Saturday from 11 and the team WOD should also take place on Sunday at 11. If you wish to get the Open WOD in before the close on Sunday you should turn up promptly - the gym will be open from 9am both days. WOD 3RFT 30 Double Unders 6 Taters 15 Wall Ball Throws More Snatch Technique   Today is likely to be the last time that you'll see Big Red for around 4 months - he's off to sea to continue to face the unknown and unknowable. He should be around in the evening so wish him all the best before he goes. He's been a great contributor to the box since we opened and we can only expect bigger and redder in the future. He truly is "a champion".

CrossFit  Glasgow   Could   Rank   in   Top   10   of   Most   Registered   Athletes   2012   If you have not done so yet, please register for the Crossfit Games Open at the link below. There is a prize awarded to the team with the most athletes registered to the games and although I'm pretty certain we won't come first (Crossfit NYC have 280 registered athletes), 5th position currently sits at 83 athletes and we have 52 signed up so far. It would be great to see ourselves in the top 10 and I believe it's totally achievable. So if you haven't signed up yet, ask yourself: why not? The open is set up so that anyone can take part and even if your WODs are scaled you will be able to see how you are placed amongst the 50,000 predicted athletes taking part. The Open WOD will be programmed on a Thursday each week and in order to ensure as many athletes are judged by a level 1 coach as possible we will probably extend this to cover Saturdays and Sundays too. GET INVOLVED!! Sign Up Now
