WOD A. 10min running clock evens - max thrusters 60/40 odds - 10 pull ups or 6 c2b pull ups or 3 bar muscle ups B. 5mins of fun (complex to be decided during the class) Tonight, 19.15, there is no WOD and Jonny is hosting another mobility class.  Just £3 per person.  In these classes he will teach you how to identify and take care of any niggles and pains before they become injuries.  He will also be able to offer advice and book you in for sessions should you require treatment.  The rigours of training both in and outside the box take their toll, be sure to use his methods to keep limber and increase your awareness of how you feel. For the rest of this week we will be operating with limited staff.  On Monday we will only be open from 06.15 to 13.15.

WOD  A. 3-3-3-3-3 back squat B. 1-1-1 deadlift Thank you all for the donations towards Colette's travel to the weightlifting competition in Austria. Tonight, 19.15 we have weightlifting with Ray and Colette.  It costs just £3 per person and the experience is invaluable, well worth a visit for those new to power cleans and snatches! Next week, Monday 6th, we will be operating on limited opening hours, 6.15-13.00.  The gym will have no regular WODs but coaches will be present so use the opportunity to work on weaknesses and develop technique.

We remind the male athletes that this time has been specifically set aside for the female athletes to develop their skills in a dedicated session that targets their weaknesses as a group. With a bank of new female members coming out of the fundamentals program it is vital that we have the space and equipment to run this session effectively and we would appreciate if you could be finished your workout and out of the gym by 11am. On Monday we will be running a fundraising WOD to help one of Scotland’s rising stars of Olympic lifting compete in Austria. Colette Will is currently the British senior and junior champion, Scottish Open and Western Districts champion and placed 2nd at the International Womens Grand Prix. Colette has helped many of you to develop your own skills by assisting Ray on the Tuesday night OL sessions and we would love to get as many of you involved as possible. Olympic lifting is gaining popularity in Scotland with around a 10% increase in participation year on year. CrossFit Glasgow has been instrumental in developing the sport by hosting the Scottish Open competition for the past two years and by getting literally hundreds of athletes cleaning, jerking and snatching as part of their day to day training. However, weightlifting remains a sport with relatively little [...]
