As we enter our sixth week we eagerly await the PM’s announcement this coming week to see what life holds for us all after lock down, we know there will be changes and some may be challenging. What we also know is that we can adapt and grow through change. We have seen this within our own CrossFit Glasgow community already! Our team continues to work hard in the background to bring you all as much as we can deliver from afar and appreciate our fabulous community that stand alongside us and continue to have our back. Thank you.

We have kicked off our new Wodify Rise Challenge this past Wednesday with ‘Eat, Sleep & Train’. Loads have signed up for this which is amazing! The true challenge will be sticking with it everyday and marking your progress down on Wodify Rise, even if it’s not been a great day for you. This should help us create some healthy habits as we come out of lock down into the real world again!

Also, this week’s specialist classes on Thurs/Sat are Weightlifting – get in on these, Colette will drill you and perfect you on your technique in the snatch and/or clean & jerk. She has an excellent eye and will help you have a better understanding of how you move. All you need is a broom handle!

Khi’s stretching/Mobility class continues to be a hit, these are on Mon/Wed/Fri at 17:30 – sign up through Wodify.

Bake Off Cooking Ingredients and Details

You will need: 12 whole muffin tin and 12 cupcake cases (I usually get more than 12 but if u only have one muffin tin u can make bigger muffins).

And if u want to be fancy a piping bag and closed star nozzle.

Ingredients for the sponge:

150g plain flour

1 tbsp coco powder

1 tsp bicarbonate of soda

50g butter, softened

150g caster sugar

1 large egg, beaten

1 tsp vanilla extract

100ml buttermilk* (Sainsbury’s has this in stock just now, if you can’t get it make sure you have cream of tartar, vinegar, lemon juice & milk to substitute)

50ml vegetable oil

1 tsp white wine vinegar

1 tbsp strong red gel food colouring

Ingredients for the icing:

100g slightly salted butter (I’m not usually that particular, stork is fine but very sweet)

250g icing sugar

100g full fat cream cheese
