Hey Team!

That’s now 2 weeks in the books!  We are delighted to welcome many new members into our community within the last 2 weeks and happy to see everyone settling into the new routine so well with both the new class structure and COVID regulations.  So if you see a new face – please say hello!

Most of you have taken very well to the new guidance of wearing masks outside the gym whilst queuing for class and until you are in your workout station.  Please keep it up!  We also would like to highlight the tops off situation just now.  Moving forward, if we could all be vigilant in keeping our tops on, this minimises the cleaning for our team and also helps keep the workout bays dry for the next class coming in.

Skipping Ropes

Workouts with skipping, we do have ropes, however it’s tricky to get the adequate ropes to you during a workout with different height requirements.  Ideally if you could bring your ropes to class that would be appreciated.  If you don’t have ropes, we have some low budget ropes that will be available to purchase early this week on our online store to get you started.  They won’t take you to the games but they will do the job just now!   CrossFit Glasgow Shop

Bike Racks:

Bike lock-ups are now in place outside the building.  There will be locks available this coming week (they are on order) to borrow if required.  We would ask you to utilize these lock-ups so we aren’t blocking the entrances.

Arch 1 Programming:

There has been some confusion surrounding the new set up with the strength and gymnastic sessions. Hopefully this will give you a better understanding of what we are currently offering and help you get the best of both worlds.  As classes get busier, we will increase the services as required.

  • Strength and Gymnastic classes run alongside the peak classes and you are welcome to book into either. Under the current circumstances we are struggling to accommodate certain kinds of heavy lifting; or gymnastics on the rig into the main classes and have set up smaller strength/gymnastics sessions for you.
  • The strength and gymnastics workouts are the same sessions repeated throughout the week and the two variations appear on alternate days.
  • Strength/Gymnastic times are currently: 05:30, 06:30, 07:30, 17:30, 18:30
  • We are encouraging members to book only one class a day to allow the opportunity for everyone to get a training option each day, particularly when we get busier as the weeks go on.
  • All A1 workouts are released at 18:00 the previous day and classes can be booked 40 hours before start.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend!
