Hi All,

This week has been a tough one for many of us, another week of lock down, although for the right reasons, is hard on everyone and in varying ways. We would like to encourage you this week to keep active, whether it is making use of the Daily WODs or getting out for a run, bike ride or walking the dog. When you exercise, your body releases chemicals called endorphins. These endorphins trigger a positive feeling in the body and result in a mood and energy boost for two to three hours afterwards. WODs are worth it!

Wodify Rise Challenge: We have entered our last week with the Wodify Rise Challenge with Lainey Scott-Campbell, Alex Dogei and Stephen Sampson in the lead – well done all for participating in creating healthier habits!

Website: Iain has been hard at work during lock down on the CrossFit Glasgow website, making it a great resource for all of you to utilize. It is being developed on an ongoing basis and in time it will become a really valuable resource, exclusive to our community, that will radically assist anyone using it to become fitter, healthier versions of themselves. Already you will find recipes, articles, the daily Home WOD, mobility/stretching classes and our members store. We now have our Puori back in stock! Vitamin D3, Magnesium and Omega 3 are all available through our store. We also have the new flavour of NOCCO arriving any day – Limon Del Sol – first come first serve! Equipment: For those of you who may have equipment borrowed from us that aren’t using all of it, please contact Viv at vivian@crossfitglasgow.com and let her know so we can lend it out to those who missed out on it the first time round. For anyone that requires equipment, we have a few things that have come back (mostly bands which will give you loads of variance in the program) please contact Viv and she can organise this with you.

Tuesday May 19th 13:30 : The Great Glasgow Bake Off – this week we tackle Artisan Bread! It is basically pizza bread! Viv Henry is taking this session, come and hang out, bake, chat all that fun stuff. For this session we will need a little longer so please have all your ingredients for the dough at the ready. The fillings we can assemble when we are in the session while the bread is rising.

This week’s Specialist classes on Thurs 17:30/Sat 10:00 are Weightlifting with Colette Will. She will make a broomstick feel heavy very quickly! Take this lock down opportunity to ‘brush’ up on your Olympic weightlifting skills.

Khi’s Stretching/Mobility class continues to be a hit, these are on Mon/Wed/Fri at 17:30 – sign up through Wodify.
